SCARLET MCILRATH

Scarlet McIlrath is honored to serve as Miss Illinois Teen USA 2026. Born and raised in
Arlington Heights, Illinois, Scarlet recently graduated from John Hersey High School and is
excited to begin the next chapter of her journey while representing her home state on the
national stage.

As a first-time pageant competitor, Scarlet entered the Miss Illinois Teen USA competition to
challenge herself, step outside her comfort zone, and grow as a leader. Winning the title has
given her the opportunity to use her voice to encourage others to lead with confidence,
kindness, and authenticity.

A lifelong athlete, Scarlet spent many years as a competitive gymnast before becoming a
member of her high school's state championship cheerleading team. She enjoys staying active
through strength training, yoga, and spending time outdoors.

Throughout her year of service, Scarlet is passionate about promoting safe decision-making
among teens through her initiative, Safe Choices, Save Lives. She believes that the choices we
make today shape the opportunities we have tomorrow, and she hopes to inspire young people
to make decisions that protect their futures while encouraging them to lead with courage and
integrity.

When she's not attending appearances or preparing for Miss Teen USA, Scarlet enjoys
spending time with her family and friends, volunteering her time with rescue dogs, and exploring
everything Illinois has to offer. She is grateful for the opportunity to represent Illinois and looks
forward to making a positive impact throughout her reign.
